The house, which has recently undergone modernisation and re-furnishing offers open country views, and is close to the centre of Malborough village.  It has a south facing garden with a patio, overlooking farmland on which horses, sheep, cows and llamas graze (see picture above).  The house is a good starting point for a number of short local walks to the coast and surrounding area.

The house sleeps 5 with 3 bedrooms: Master double bedroom, Twin/Double bedroom and a single bedroom.   

The house is fully equipped for a self-catering holiday, and you can choose to either bring your own bed linen and towels or use a linen and laundry service (for an additional cost).

Malborough and Surrounding Area

Malborough lies in the heart of some beautiful countryside in the South Hams and is close to a variety of coastal towns and beaches: North Sands and South Sands (as pictured) (1 ½ miles), Bantham (7 miles), Thurlestone (4 miles) and Soar Mill Cove (1 ½ miles).  Dartmoor National Park is about 40 minutes drive away. 

Kingsbridge, the county market town, is good for shopping and dining with a tourist information centre and leisure centre (4 miles).  Salcombe offers many good pubs, restaurants, spa/gym, tourist and clothes shops with fine views of the estuary.

There is a great variety of activities that can be enjoyed in the area: swimming at lovely sandy beaches such as Hope Cove and Mill Bay suitable for children, sea fishing, snorkelling, sailing and surfing particularly at Bantham.  Thurlestone has a golf course, situated right on the coast, and tennis courts.

The area is renowned for its lovely walks.  The coastline belongs to the National Trust and abounds with well sign posted walks and marvellous views of the sea.Malborough village is picturesque with a number of thatched cottages, its own Post Office, grocery shop and petrol station.  There are 2 village pubs, both serving food and offering warm hospitality.
